5/17/19 Victor Jury named Entrepreneur of the Year finalist -Albuquerque Business First

Global professional services firm Ernst & Young has recognized a local business owner as one of the region's top entrepreneurs.

Victor Jury, CEO and chairman of Albuquerque's Summit Electric Supply, was named one of the finalists for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 Award in the Mountain Desert Region.

The annual awards recognize the leaders of high-growth companies who excel in ares such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges, the Phoenix Business Journal reported. Jury was also nominated for the award in 2016 and 2007.

Jury cofounded Summit Electric with his father and business partner David Meredith in 1977 in Albuquerque. It has grown to 25 service centers across five states, as well as locations in Dubai, U.A.E. Jury has also served on boards for various organizations including the NAED Education & Research Foundation and the Industry Data Exchange Association.

Summit, with $51.43 million in revenue, ranked as New Mexico's 18th-largest private company in 2018, according to our Top New Mexico Private Companies List.

Award winners will be announced at a gala scheduled for June 20 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
